Beata Szydło at the European Congress of Local Governments

April 8, 2019
Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło participated in the 5th European Congress of Local Governments in Krakow. This is a platform for local and regional leaders to meet and exchange views with representatives of state administration, non-governmental organizations and business.

The first day of the congress was crowned with a gala award ceremony to recognise outstanding activists. The best-performing local government officials in the Financial Rankings for Local Government in Poland in 2018 received an award from Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło.

“Good education and culture is a matter for us all - local government, teachers and parents. It is also a matter for the state which will always support good solutions” – said Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło, referring to the ongoing teachers strike.
