Beata Szydło: Over the last three years, the Family 500+ program has changed Poland for the better

May 16, 2019
I am glad that today the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda signed the amendment to the act which extends the Family 500+ program to include each child. I am proud that as Prime Minister in 2016, I was able to contribute to the process of supporting Polish families. Over the last 3 years, the Polish Family 500+ program has changed things for the better" said Beata Szydło after President Andrzej Duda signed the law expanding the Family 500+ program.
Szydło said, "the Family 500+ program provides real financial support for many Polish families, but it also shows the whole world that in Poland, the family is of an utmost priority. We are presenting a model example of a state that is carrying out a wise pro-family policy."

"I am proud that I was the head of the government that introduced this wonderful program," said the Deputy Prime Minister. She also used the opportunity to thank the ministers and civil servants involved in the work on the program.

Pursuant to the amended act, the right to the provisions of the 500+ law will be granted to parents of all children up to the age of 18. Applications for benefits will be available from 1st July. This amendment will include a further 6.8 million children. The extension of the Family 500+ program is one of the projects included in Law & Justice's five new pledges.
