Establishment of The National Institute of Rural Culture and HeritageApril 16, 2019
Deputy Prime Minister Beata Szydło, the Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, and the Deputy Minister for Culture and National Heritage Jarosław Sellin, have announced the establishment of the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage.
Its main tasks will be to research, popularize, document and expand people’s knowledge about the culture of rural residents. It will function based on the same principles as the Central Agricultural Library in Warsaw.
“In this way, we refer to a similar initiative that was successfully implemented in the interwar period to develop rural areas, but also to cultivate tradition and culture – which all forms our rich heritage and contribution to our national culture” – said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Beata Szydło will manage the work of the Institute's Scientific Council.
