International affairs

Increasing Poland’s profile on the international arena. We continue to be an active country and engaged in global politics.

Engaging in strategic dialogue with the US in the field of security. Our efforts have led to an increase in the amount of political and defence cooperation with the US.

Strengthening regional solidarity in Central and Eastern Europe. Our active leadership in the Visegrad Group (V4) has contributed to strengthening Poland’s position and the CEE region in Europe.

Polish presidency of the V4. We strived to effectively coordinate and tighten cooperation between the countries of the V4.

Fighting against “two-tier food quality” in the EU as part of the V4. It is unacceptable to discriminate against consumers, selling food of poorer quality, depending on their country of origin.

The V4 supporting an innovative economy. All V4 Prime Ministers signed the "Warsaw Declaration", which strengthens cooperation in the field of research, innovation and digitization.

Supporting the voluntary relocation of refugees. The European Union supported Poland’s solutions for migration policy.

Opposing Nord Stream 2. Nord Stream 2 threatens the energy independence of Central and Eastern Europe and undermines the region's energy security.

Providing Polish humanitarian aid. We believe that providing assistance in areas of need is the most effective solution to crises.

Offering humanitarian assistance to Middle East countries. In 2016-2017, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave Polish NGOs about PLN 27 million to implement aid projects in Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan.

Improving consular assistance. We established a Consular Information Centre that facilitates and speeds up the handling of consular affairs.
